When Grandma Rose first joined the church 40 years ago, she asked her pastor: “How does our little church connect to the bigger organization?” Her pastor smiled and said, “Think of it like a family tree. Our church is like one home. Many homes make up a neighborhood (that’s a district). Many neighborhoods make up a city (that’s a diocese). And many cities make up a whole region. We’re all connected!”
This guide will help you understand that same family tree — whether you’re 15 or 85.
🤔 What Exactly IS Region XII?
Region XII is one part of a larger church organization called COOLJC (Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc.). Think of COOLJC as the whole country, and Region XII as one state within it.

Your School District → A Diocese (group of churches)

🏢 How is Region XII Organized?
Just like your school has different departments (sports, music, academics), Region XII has departments too. Each one helps with a different part of church life:

- Presbyters — Training and support for ministers (the pastors and leaders)
- Missionaries — Sharing the gospel and helping communities
- Deacons — Serving the church and helping members in need
- Youth Department — Programs and events for young people like YOU!
- Women’s Council — Ministry for and by women
- Brotherhood — Ministry for and by men
- Music Department — Worship, choirs, and musicians
- Education — Sunday School, Bible studies, and training
- Technology — Websites, livestreams, and digital ministry

Your wisdom matters! The Missionaries and Education departments often need experienced members to mentor younger generations and teach Sunday School classes.
